OmniServ success continues with PRM contract win at Liverpool Airport
Latest UK airport contract strengthens OmniServ’s position in the market
Liverpool, UK – April 5, 2016 – OmniServ, a subsidiary of ABM and the UK’s leading airport service provider, is continuing its expansion within the UK Aviation market with the recent win to provide services to PRMs (Persons with Reduced Mobility) at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The three-year contract begins on April 14, 2016 and follows on from the company’s recent appointment to manage PRM services for Edinburgh Airport. The Liverpool win takes OmniServ’s PRM reach to four airports, adding to existing contracts at Heathrow and Stansted.
David Briggs, Head of Customer Care, Terminal and Landside Operations at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, said: “Experiencing a growth in PRM passengers, Liverpool John Lennon Airport wants to deliver the best possible service levels. We have selected OmniServ as it is a clear leader in this area and has a strong track record of success.”
A key factor in securing the new contract was OmniServ’s bespoke technology system. Developed at Heathrow and Stansted, it captures passenger information and specific assistance requirements, enabling the OmniServ team to provide a highly personalised and efficient service to each PRM passenger.
“We are delighted to have secured yet another UK airport contract and excited at the prospect of working with Liverpool John Lennon Airport to provide the best possible experience to its PRM passengers,” said Antony Marke, Managing Director, OmniServ.
The PRM services will increase OmniServ’s presence at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, where it already carries out retail support and activities through its travel retail division Blackjack Promotions.
